There is a garage that can take two vehicles and at the back of which there is secure storage for the like of bikes, boats etc entered by means of a number coded security lock.
The house itself can be entered via the front door on the terrace or to the side there is a door that is also security coded. The side door facilitates entry without the need for a key, once established in the property. This entry room doubles as a drying room and place to disrobe from outdoor apparel.
On the ground floor next to the drying room is a double shower room in which there will also be a sauna in the near future. The remainder of the ground floor comprises two bedrooms and a toilet.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms, another toilet, a bathroom and the main focal room of the house, the kitchen-dining-living room. This is a splendid space with three French doors onto the balcony as well as the recently installed window by the dining table, from which a view of the castle.
The town of Foix is situated on the edge of the French Pyrenees directly south of Toulouse. It is a small provincial town dominated by the three turreted Cathar castle that was never breeched. The river Arriage runs through the town and gives its name to the region.
For those travelling by plane, Toulouse and Carcassonne airports are only one hours drive away, Pau and Perpignon two hours.
It has all the facilities of a larger provincial town, theatre, swimming pool, cinema, tourist info.etc and is renound for its excellent restaurants and cafes. For those of sporting persuasions there is a kayak slalom site on the edge of town and a local company run kayak, canoe and rafting trips in the summer months.
